At Prairie, we believe that a comprehensive treatment program must address the full range of our patients' needs. This includes the spiritual as well as the psychological and physical aspects of our patients' mental health. We have a caring staff of clergy, trained in mental health issues and available around the clock to minister to our patients' spiritual needs.
The Pastoral Care Staff work with patients, leading groups and meeting with individual patients and their families. Key concerns facing many patients are issues of grief and loss and wondering where God's place is in their recovery. The Pastoral Care Staff represent a spiritual presence within Prairie.
The mission statement of the Pastoral Services Department at Prairie is "To Provide Spiritual Comfort and Compassion and To Explore and Assist in Identifying Spiritual Beliefs and Aid in Coping."
