Prairie offers a wide-variety of on-site training including
- An on-site trainer to provide new hire orientation, annual education, CPR, First Aid and Management of Aggressive Behavior, among many others.
- An on-site resource Library, with various books, journals and videos. Prairie subscribes to various periodicals such as Nursing, Health Facilities Management, Healthcare Purchasing News, and American Journal of Nursing, among many others.
- On-site training for various topics with ability to receive C.E.U.s through pharmaceutical representative luncheons, Psychlink and Distant Learning Network Satellite Programs.
Prairie offers additional incentives for outside training
- Continuing education dollars are provided for off-site training for full and part-time employees. Amounts are based on position and FTE status.

Tuition Assistance Benefits for the pursuit of licensure as an RN or to receive master’s degree in Nursing and Addictions Counseling. Prairie provides up to $5,250 annually.
Eligibility requirements include, but not limited to: .5 FTE status employees and above, who have been employed for one year and are in good standing, number of applications received, available funds, as well as other factors. Determinations on acceptance into the speicific program are made through a formal application process.
- Employment Benefit for the pursuit of Licensure as an Addiction Counselor. Provides reimbursement dollars for designated College Courses up to annual maximum of $5,250. And pays employee’s salary while participating in the Addiction Counselor 1400 Hour Practicum offered through the Fargo Consortium.
Eligibility requirements include, but not limited to: .5 FTE status employees and above, who have been employed for one year and are in good standing, number of applications received, available funds, as well as other factors. Determinations on acceptance into the specific program are made through a formal application process.
