Volunteer Opportunities at Prairie St. John’s

Do you wish to make a difference in the lives of Prairie St. John’s patients and families? By volunteering and supporting the work of the staff, you will be contributing to our healing environment.

Whether your reasons for volunteering are to get credit for class, to collect community service hours or you wish to give back after a family member or friend was cared for at Prairie; we appreciate you sharing your time and talents.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Friendly Patient Visitor
Visit or play a game with patients who have few or no visitors
Clerical Assistant
Assist with filing, assembling packets copying and other office project
Indoor Plant Care Volunteer
Do you have a green thumb? Use your abilities to water and care for indoor plants throughout our facility.
Prairie St. John’s Gardening Volunteer
Assist with routine gardening tasks and grounds maintenance, such as weeding, watering, and cleaning plant beds on the Prairie St. John’s campuses.

A Criminal Background Check is required
Interview (informal)
Mantoux (Tuberculosis test)
