Andrea is a seasoned therapist, with over seven years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker. She believes in a "wraparound" treatment approach to therapy that includes the patient, as well as caregivers, siblings and significant others. In order for a patient to be successful in treatment, Andrea believes that his or her support system must play an active part in helping the patient maintain positive changes.
As a therapist at Prairie's Child Adolescent Partial Hospital Program in Edina, Andrea works with the treatment team to provide individualized treatment to children and adolescents using a wide variety of therapeutic techniques. Her goal is to provide education, guidance and structure to patients and their support system(s) as they learn to deal with mental illness and work toward an improved quality of life. Andrea enjoys spending time with family, friends and her cat and is bi-lingual; speaking both English and Spanish.
