Mindy feels that all aspects of a patient's life are important to address and incorporate in treatment. This holistic approach, involving physical, mental, social, family and spiritual well-being, is an important component in treatment. Acknowledging and validating patients' strengths is a vital part of treatment. She feels it is important to recognize that chemical dependency and mental health issues can be co-occurring and approaches treatment by addressing these issues together. "Education for patients, families and also for the community plays a key role in providing accurate information about chemical dependency and mental health issues."
Mindy enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with family, friends and pets.
